When I first visited this company in the early seventies, it was known as Dainippon Screen. A decade later they had dropped the Japanese portion of the name, and were just ‘Screen’ to better reflect their emerging international position. Early on, the company was one of the larger semiconductor processing equipment companies in Japan. They had marvelous machinery then as well as now.
Here are a couple of cleaning units from their P210 wet processing system. The full brochure shows several complete in-line systems, including a very early large-substrate LCD system.
